Restorative justice is a process that enables victims to tell the offender how they have been affected, to have a say in how the harm can be repaired and begin to resolve some of the effects of the offending.
Restorative justice enables offenders to take responsibility for their actions, apologize directly to the victim and be part of deciding how the harm can be repaired.
Restorative justice is a voluntary process and consent may be withdrawn at any time.
